Abstract:
PURPOSE:To omit the connection of a position indicator to improve operability and to detect the position with excellent accuracy, by using a position detecting part where many loop coils are set in parallel with each other and a position indicator containing a tuning circuit. CONSTITUTION:The loop coils 11 of a position detecting part 1 are driven by the AC signals of the prescribed frequency. Then the radio waves are transmitted to a tuning circuit 41 of a position indicator 4 using said frequency of the AC signal as a tuning frequency. The radio waves transmitted from the circuit 41 are received by the coils 11 and the induction voltage produced under such conditions is detected. These operations are carried out with all coils 11 and at the same time the value of the detected voltage is held in the prescribed timing synchronous with the switch of coils 11. Then the designated position of the indicator 4 is calculated from the held voltage value. Thus it is required just to set a tuning circuit at the side of the indicator 4 and no code is needed. As a result, the operability of a position detecting device is improved.
