Abstract:
PURPOSE:To prevent transmission from being held up by discriminating whether an F bit should be added to the last frame or not at the time of transmitting a series of frames reported from a transmission processing part and stopping addition of the F bit at the time of indicating the continuous transmission request. CONSTITUTION:A reception processing part 2 checks frames, When report of frames is confirmed, transmission data exists and transmission of all frames is not completed, a continuous transmission control flag is set. A P bit is checked in other cases, and the P bit is checked also after the continuous trans mission control flag is set in this case: and when the P bit is set, a transmission processing part 3 is started. This processing part 3 generates a transmission table based on transmission data when transmission is requested by a higherorder program part 5. When the number of outstanding frames is not its maximum, it is checked whether transmission data is left or not; and when it is not left, the continuous transmission control flag 4 is turned off and a transmission request is generated to cause an interrupt.
