Abstract:
PURPOSE:To generate a foundation density distribution of high precision for a color original to properly eliminate the foundation by detecting a color original picture area and detecting the density of the color original picture based on the output of this area. CONSTITUTION:The color original picture is separated to plural colors by a picture reader 1. The color original picture area is detected by an area detecting part 7, and the foundation density before emphasis processing of the color original picture is detected based on the area output of the detecting part 7 by a density detecting part 9. The foundation density distribution of the color original is generated by this part 9 to perform the data processing. A gamma correction part 3 is set based on this data processing to perform the copy operation.
