Abstract:
PURPOSE:To easily obtain a desired reproducing image by finding the correction data of an image signal from the image signal obtained from reference density data and a density signal obtained from a densitometer, and preparing a gradation conversion table from the above data. CONSTITUTION:An original CCD 16 converts the reflected light of illumination light by a reference density scale 18 to an electrical signal, and supplies it to an amplifier 20. The amplifier 20 amplifies the electrical signal, and supplies it to an A/D converter 22, and the converter 22 stores an amplified electrical signal in a line memory 24 as a digital signal. The memory 24 supplied the digital signal to a signal conversion table generating part 28 via a change-over switch 25 as an uncorrected image signal D1. Meanwhile, the density of the reference density scale 18 is measured with the densitometer 34, and measured density is supplied to the generating part 28 via a measured data input part 36 as a density signal D2 for correction. Then, the generating part 28 prepares a correction table from the signal D1 read by the CCD 16 and the signal D2 measured by the densitometer 34. The relation of the signal D1 from the line memory 24 with the signal D3 is set as the gradation conversion table 32.
