Abstract:
PURPOSE:To prevent various trouble such as a bill jam or the like from occurring, by installing a vertical conveying mechanism provided with vertical feed rollers which holds a bill in between and feeds it in a vertical direction. CONSTITUTION:A charged bill M is held in between by a horizontal conveyor belt 41a and 41b and conveyed to the central part. When the bill center reaches an almost intermediate part, a sensor operates, and these horizontal conveyor belts 41 come to a stop. Next, vertical feed rollers 6 and 6 are rotated by a driving part. With this rotation, contact surface parts 6b and 6b of central rollers 6a and 6a interpose the bill between themselves while resisting resilient force of a spring 10a and get rotating in a contact surface state. The roller 6b and a shaft 8b both move against energizing force, widening an interval between a shaft 8a and this shaft 8b, and simultaneously a guide 5b also moves, whereby holding force to the bill M is lost. Therefore, the bill M held between these contact surface parts 6b and 6b is conveyable downward by rotation of these vertical feed rollers 6 and 6.
