Abstract:
PURPOSE:To revise only document format efficiently by displaying a display document format which is not affected in an identifiable manner when a registered document format devitates from a value which is equal to an integer multiple of the width of printing interval. CONSTITUTION:The interval width data of a daisy wheel which is set to a printing section 5 is read from an interval area PT. Right margin position data and left margin position data are read from RAM 3, and the left margin position data is subtracted from the right margin position data. Then the subtracted value is divided by an interval width to calculate right margin column position data. The left margin position data is subtracted from tabulation position data, and column position calculation is performed to divide the subtracted value by the interval width data. Then the quotient of column position N and the remaining value x are calculated. A tabulation mark 43 is displayed in a column position on a document format screen of a display section 6. CPU 1 notifies a CRT controller to such effect that the tabulation mark 45 is distinguished from another integer multiple tabulation mark 43 and displayed. Next, said tabulation mark 43 displayed on the format line of the display section 6 is blinked.
