Abstract:
PURPOSE:To provide an output of an image with high luminance without being affected by the degree of an incident light or a contrast. CONSTITUTION:Detection circuits 26, 27 detect a partial light with highest intensity and a partial light with lowest intensity of a light incident onto a sensor array 21. A differential amplifier circuit 33 receiving a highest light detection signal and a lowest light detection signal outputted from the detection circuits 26, 27 provides the output of a difference signal between them as a monitor signal and the amplification factor of the differential amplifier circuit 33 is set depending on the monitor signal in the monitor operation. Then a sensor signal is given to the differential amplifier circuit in place of the highest light detection signal with a selector; circuit 32 and the differential amplifier circuit 33 provides the output of a difference signal between the sensor signal and the lowest light detection signal as an image signal.
