Abstract:
PURPOSE:To eliminate a traveling truck and packing powder and to produce carbon rods in an excellent operation environment by burning carbon rods in a combustion atmosphere having specified air fuel ratio and oxygen concentration of exhaust gas. CONSTITUTION:A basic atmosphere in a furnace is constituted by using a combustion burner having oxygen concentration in an exhaust gas after combustion of a heating fuel by a burner adjusted to <=0.1% and an air fuel ratio to 0.85-0.95, a burning atmosphere in a furnace is made from a heat decomposition gas generated from a material itself to be burnt placed on a heat-resistant case and carbon rods are burnt. By the above-mentioned method, coke of packing powder, a traveling truck and a storage part of burnt material on the truck are not required. Consequently, since the atmosphere in the furnace is directly contact with the material to be burnt, thermal conductivity to the material to be burnt is extremely improved.
