Abstract:
PURPOSE:To provide the method and the device for checking, which prevent effectively forgery of an object to be detected, and also, do not become a generation source of a noise, and moreover, are high in an SN ratio. CONSTITUTION:In a scanning area 17 of an object 10 to be detected, many magnetic elements 12 are mixed at random. A processor 20 for checking genuineness of this object 10 to be detected has a magnetic sensor 30 provided with a pair of MR elements 31, 32 and a magnet 33. In a process for generating the object 10 to be detected, a detection signal corresponding to a variation of an output ratio of each MR element 31, 32 is obtained and converted to a cryptographic code, while moving the scanning area 17 of the object 10 to be detected, and also, its cryptographic code is recorded in a code display part. At the time of deciding the genuineness of the object 10 to be detected, the detection signal obtained by scanning the scanning area 17 and the cryptographic code recorded in the code display part are collated, and when both of them correspond to each other, it is decided to be a genuine article.
