Abstract:
PURPOSE:To accomplish mass growth of the title seedlings provided with good character by culture of shoots obtained from the shoot apexes of croton plants containing plaunotol to effect multibud formation and root development. CONSTITUTION:The shoot apexes of croton plants containing plaunotol are put to culture in a culture medium comprising ceramic fiber. Thence, the sheets thus obtained are put to culture e.g., in a culture medium comprising vermiculite containing 0.1-1ppm of cytokinin and 0.005-0.05ppm of gibberellin to effect multibud formation and root development, thus growing the seedlings.
