Abstract:
This invention relates to a focus detection apparatus having a plurality of distance measurement points (001). The focus detection apparatus is characterized in that when an AF mode (002) is a servo mode, focusing is performed on the basis of a focus signal from a distance measurement point (004,005,006) of a nearest object. However, when the AF mode is a oneshot mode (003), a focus signal is preferentially extracted from a central distance measurement point of the frame, thereby performing focusing.
