Abstract:
PURPOSE:To manufacture the subject magnetic particle powder improving wetting and releasing in binder by containing B, Co, Al and Ni near surfaces of acicular crystallized goethite particles. CONSTITUTION:The surfaces of the acicular crystallized goethite particles having uniform particle size and mixing no dendrite particles, are coated with B compound (KBO2, etc.), Co compound (CoSO4, etc.), Al compound [Al(SO4)3, etc.] and/or Ni compound (NiSO4, etc.). Successively, this is heated and treated at about 300-600 deg.C to make the particles coated with the respective oxide of B, Co, Al and/or Ni, and further, this is heated and reduced at about 300-500 deg.C to obtain the acicular crystallized iron alloy magnetic particle powder containing B, Co, Al and/or Ni near the surfaces of the particles. By this method, the particle powder having coercive force and saturation magnetization and excellent oxidation stability, S.F.D. and wetting and releasing into the binder particularly containing resin having acidic functional group, is obtd. and suitable to the high density record and high output.
