Abstract:
PURPOSE:To prevent generation of cracks, etc., in a protective layer by arranging a plurality of waveform cords from the center part to the both end parts in the tire width direction in order of magnitude of the amplitude/wave length ratio from the smaller in a protective layer arranged between a tread and a belt layer. CONSTITUTION:In a radial tire 20, a protective layer 28 for a belt layer is arranged between a tread 22 and the belt layer 26. In the protective layer 28, a plurality of waveform cords 34 which are bent in the wave shape along the tire circumference direction are arranged in the tire width direction. In this case, more than two kinds of waveform cords 34A and 34B whose ratio of amplitude B to wave length L are different from each other are used for the waveform cords 34. Each of the waveform cords 34A and 34B are arranged from the center part to the both end parts in the tire width direction in order of magnitude of the amplitude B/wave length L ratio from the smaller, that is, in the order of 34B and 34A so that their phases accord with each other in the radial direction surface of the tire.
