Abstract:
NEW MATERIAL:A compound expressed by formula I {R<1> is (substituted) phenyl, (substituted) methyl or -C(O)-R<3> [R<3> is (substituted) phenyl]; R<2> is H or prorecting group of carboxylic acid). EXAMPLE:A compound expressed by formula II. USE:A synthetic intermediate for beta-lactam-based antibiotic substances. PREPARATION:A thiazolinoazetidinone derivative (e.g. a compound expressed by formula IV) expressed by formula III [R<4> is (substituted) lower alkyl or (substituted) phenyl] is reacted with a base (preferably an aliphatic amine such as triethylamine or an aromatic amine such as N,N-dimethylaniline), is necessary, in an inert solvent (e.g. methyl formate), preferably at -50 to 0 deg.C.
