Abstract:
PURPOSE:To detect step difference in a floor, to evade danger, to raise safety, to discriminate floor quality and to attain a cleaning corresponding to the floor quality by providing a floor face and step difference discriminating means, etc., consisting of an ultrasonic sensor to transmit/receive an ultrasonic wave, a counting circuit, etc. CONSTITUTION:A floor face and step difference discriminating means 8 fitted in front to the driving direction of a steering and driving means 7 discriminates the step difference in the floor and floor quality in just front of the driving wheel 7c, and when the step difference in the floor exists, the signal of Hi is outputted and an efficient cleaning corresponding to the floor quality is executed. That is, an ultrasonic sensor 10 to transmit a ultrasonic wave, an ultrasonic sensor 11 to receive it, etc., are provided on the means 8, and a time, for which the ultrasonic wave is transmitted by the sensor 10, is reflected on the floor face not to have the step difference in the floor and is received by the sensor 11, and the time, for which a reflected wave is received in the case of the step difference in the floor exists, are compared. As the result, in the case of the step difference in the floor exists, the signal of the Hi is outputted through a counting circuit 15, etc. Besides, the floor quality is discriminated corresponding to the number of reflected times through a semi-waveform shaping circuit 18, an integration circuit 19, etc. Thus, danger can be evaded and the cleaning corresponding to the floor quality can be executed.
