Abstract:
PURPOSE:To achieve a uniform electrostrictive effect by forming a uniform electrode plate structure having no electrode nonexistent part on upper and lower piezoelectric plates to be laminated. CONSTITUTION:A piezoelectric element 1 is formed by alternately laminating piezoelectric plates 11 made of piezoelectric ceramics and electrode plates 12 in multilayers. The plate 12 to be provided on the plate 11 is formed of a first electrode piece of a planarly split patterns, and a second electrode piece formed in a complementary pattern for the first piece, and a uniform electrode plate having no electrode nonexistent part is formed for the upper and lower plates 11 to be laminated. When a voltage is applied at the time of driving the element, a uniform electric field is generated between the plates 12, and a nondeviated part is eliminated. Thus, uniform electrostrictive effect is achieved, and the damage of the element due to a stress concentration can be avoided.
