Abstract:
PURPOSE:To efficiently inject a predetermined amount of electrolyte into a lead-acid battery without leakage by providing an automatic switching means for opening and closing the hole of an injection nozzle. CONSTITUTION:The whole device for injecting electrolyte is rotated and given a centrifugal force, and when the centrifugal force reaches a predetermined value a rotation sensor senses it and a shaft 16 is lowered by driving of an air cylinder. The shaft 16 is provided with a ring-shaped flange 17 and lowering of the flange 17 causes oscillation of a link mechanism 15 about a pivot 18 in the direction of the arrow. Then a switching rod 4 is forced to retreat via a connecting rod 14 and blocking of the nozzle by an O-ring 3 is released, and electrolyte in a hopper 1 is injected into a battery 9 while in a pressurized state by the centrifugal force and electrolyte pressure surpasses gas pressure within the battery 9 so that the whole amount of electrolyte is promptly injected into the battery 9 while gas liquid substitution is forcibly achieved. Thus a predetermined amount of electrolyte is promptly injected into the battery 9 without leakage.
