Abstract:
NEW MATERIAL:The compound of formula I (R is group of formula II or III). The compound wherein R is group of formula II has the following physical and chemical properties. Nature, yellow powder; molecular formula, C28H34N2O7; elemental analysis (%), C 64.69, H 6.7, N 5.27; optical rotation, [alpha] =-140.6 deg. (C=0.4, chloroform); color reaction, positive to vanillin sulfuric acid, Ehrlich reagent, iodine and ferric chloride; solubility, soluble in alcohol, acetone, ethyl acetate and chloroform and insoluble in water and hexane; etc. USE:Antibacterial agent and antitumor agent. PREPARATION:A microbial strain belonging to genus Streptomyces [e.g. Streptomyces sp. UOF1 (FERM BP-2844)] is cultured preferably at 25-32 deg.C and pH 6-8 for 1-7 days.
