Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To absorption-decompose high load waste water such as livestock excretion with roots of plants and biological membranes formed on the surfaces of roots or the surface of a membrane module to purify the same supplying air to the high load waste water through the membrane module to caltivate plants. SOLUTION: Plants 3 are fixedly set within an upwardly opened water- resistant container and high load waste water containing fertilizer components is supplied into the container and a membrane module 6 having gaps not allowing water to pass but air to pass is disposed under the plants 3. Compressed air is supplied from the surface side of the membrane module 6 by a compressor 7 not only to supply oxygen to roots of the plants 3 but also to absorption-decompose fertilizer components by biological membranes 9 formed on the surface of the membrane module 6 and the surfaces of roots 3a of the plants 3 to purify the high load waste water.
