Abstract:
PURPOSE:To swiftly detect the pollution of air both in a wall-hanging type and in a floor-setting type by allowing the main body of an air cleaner to be freely set both in lateral direction and in longitudinal direction and providing the disoposing means by which a pollution sensor is kept at a high position. CONSTITUTION:In the air cleaner provided with the pollution sensor 20 detecting the pollution of the air, the main body 10 is allowed to be freely set both in lateral direction and in longitudinal direction. As for the disposing means by which the pollution sensor 20 is kept in a high position, the hook 62 is, for example, provided which engages with the guide groove 19 for the cord of electric power source provided in the back surface of the main body 10 and with the guide groove 19 provided in a stand 6. As a result, the pollution sensor is kept at a high position for the use of wall-hanging type as well as for the use of floor-setting type so that the pollution in the air is swiftly detected even when the pollution is made by the matter inclining to move upwards, such as smoke particles.
