Abstract:
PURPOSE:To eliminate a problem that the fragment of a heater is sent out by a fan and dangerous condition is brought by detecting the breakage of the heater to stop the operation of the heater when the outer tube of the electric heater is broken. CONSTITUTION:A heater is constituted of an outer tube breakage detecting unit 11, formed of a conductive film for transferring an electric signal from one end of the outer tube 8 to the other end of the same for a radiation heater, and a control unit 5a, stopping the operation of a heat generating wire 7 and a fan 4 when the outer tube 8 is broken and the conduction of an outer tube breakage detecting unit 11 is spoiled. According to this method, the operation of the radiation heater and the fan is stopped when the outer tube of the radiation heater is broken whereby a problem that the broken fragments are sent out together with warm-air and a dangerous condition is brought can be eliminated.
