CONSTITUTION:The electronic cash register for operating a privilege point to be given to a customer in accordance with the sort, sold amount and selling time of a sold commodity is constituted of an article data judging means ST30 for judging whether data from an input means are article data with respect to an article carried in by a customer or not, a specific point reading means ST 3 for reading out a specific point corresponding to the article code from a specific table and a privilege point correcting means ST7 for adding each total specific point to the privilege point at the time of ending the input of an article carried in by a customer to correct the privilege point.
