Abstract:
PURPOSE:To detect abnormal connection of all signal lines constituting cables within a predetermined time after cable connection by providing plural identification signal generating circuits, selecting circuits, a detecting circuit and a comparing circuit. CONSTITUTION:When a cable A is connected, a clock signal (a) is input to a detecting circuit 30 via the cable A to detect the rising portion of the signal (a), and a test signal (g) is output to selecting circuits 10, 11. The circuit 10 outputs an identification signal (h) generated by an identification signal generating circuit 80 counting the signal (a) to four signal lines while the circuit 11 outputs a synchronous signal (b) as a synchronous signal (c). The identification signal generating circuit 60 is reset when the signal (c) is input, to count up every time when the clock of the signal (a) is input. Four output lines for the circuit 60 is output as identification signals (i) to a comparing circuit 50 to compare a signal (h) with the signal (i) and with all four identification signals depending on a signal (g). The result is output to a control circuit 70 to test all signal lines.
