Abstract:
PURPOSE:To provide the sound field simulator which enables a sound field wherein a monaural sound source and a multi-sound source are present to be experienced by comparison in an audio room. CONSTITUTION:This sound field simulator simulates how a sound from a specific sound source in the sound field is listened to at a specific sound reception point according to design data on the sound field to generate a dummy sound field in the audio room. This sound field simulator includes a memory 42 stored with simulation data for a case of the monaural sound source which does not use a speaker and simulation data for a case of the multi-sound source which uses the speaker, a selecting means 130 for the monaural sound source and multi-sound source, and a sound field generating means which reads the simulation data on the selected sound source out of the memory 42 by the means 130 and generates the dummy sound field in the audio room. Then a listener experiences the sound field in the case of the presence of the monaural sound source and multi-sound source by comparison in the audio room.
