Abstract:
PURPOSE:To perform postscript of data in an electronic book, etc., with a simple way at a low cost without writing main information. CONSTITUTION:A transducer 16 is moved to the inner peripheral side of a disk 12 and then to a TOC area and a first UTOC area and an index content is read out to be stored in a buffer 34A. Next, the transducer 16 is moved to a second UTOC area based on a control by a postscript character data processing part 34C and in a case that postscript character data are present, the postscript character data are read out to be stored in the buffer memory 34A. After then, the index content and the postscript character data stored in the buffer 34A are outputted to a display processor 38 to be displayed on a display device 40. When a main information is selected in a case that related postscript picture data are present, the data are read out from the second UTOC area by a postscript picture data processing part 34D to be displayed together with the main information.
