Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a chair which is suitable for a crippled person and an aged man, carefully assists the seating and the separating, can be used naturally, safely and without anxiety, smoothes an operation by simplifying a constitution and is capable of improving convenience for use. SOLUTION: This chair has an actuator 24 having an operating arm 23 which can be extended and contracted, links 9, 10 which can be erected/ prostrated in the front and rear directions by interlocking with the operating arm 23 and a pair of front side and rear side seat plates 9, 29 which can be seated. At least the rear side seat plate 29 can be elevated/lowered by interlocking with links 9, 10. The front side seat plate 8 is installed so that the plate 8 may not be elevated/lowered at a fixed location and a seat surface of the front side seat plate 8 is arranged on a surface which is substantially flush with a seat surface at the lowermost location of the rear side seat plate 29. Only the rear side seat plate 29 can be elevated/lowered and moved in parallel by interlocking with the links 9, 10. The front end part at the uppermost location of the rear side seat plate 29 is located substantially right above the front end part of the front side seat plate 8.
