Abstract:
PURPOSE:To read information such as a subcode without an azimuth loss by permitting the inclination angle of a drum to coincide with a still angle, simultaneously, permitting the center axis of the inclination of the drum and the lap center of a tape to coincide and winding the tape in a prescribed range in making the lap center into a center at the time of a half loading. CONSTITUTION:The inclination angle of a rotary head drum 3 is made to coincide with the still angle, and simultaneously, the center axis of the inclination of the rotary head drum 3 and the lap center of a tape 2 are made to coincide. At the time of the half loading, blocks 21 and 22 are moved in an arrow direction, and simultaneously, a pinch roller 6 is separated from a capstan 5. Consequently, the tape 2 is wound in the prescribed range of the drum 3, and a high- speed transfer is executed by the drive of a reel motor connected to a cassette 1. By reading the subcode from the tape to be transferred at a high speed in such a way, the information such as the subcode can be read without the azimuth loss.
