Abstract:
Master-slave data transmission system with a flexible one-wire bus (B) which is suitable for multiple-master and multiple-slave data transmission operation, where a master (M) in each case transmits data to a slave (S) or retrieves data from it. A flexible telegram (T) with a variable-length address part (ad) and a variable-length data part (dt) is used for the data transfer, where the start and the end of the individual telegram parts are defined by markers (mi) and a constant bit clock is transmitted at least during the telegram (T). In multiple-master mode, a priority controller prevents simultaneous access of a plurality of masters (M, M1, M2) to the one-wire bus (B).
