Abstract:
The inert gas used in the TIG and MIG welding of aluminium is as pure as possible argon or as pure as possible mixtures of argon and helium. In order to improve the welding operation and the welding result, 80 vpm to 250 vpm, preferably 120 vpm to 180 vpm, of nitrogen are added to the inert gas.
