In a high side rotary compressor (10), liquid refrigerant is supplied to the compression chamber (C) via a capillary tube (50) and liquid injection port (24-2). The liquid refrigerant is delivered only after the suction port (20-2) has closed and before chamber pressure exceeds the liquid injection supply pressure.
