Abstract:
PURPOSE:To excellently transfer a superimposed toner image on an intermediate transfer body to a transfer sheet by almostly removing liquid carriers on the intermediate transfer body after a toner image is transferred on the intermediate transfer body, except the last transfer of the toner image to the intermediate transfer body. CONSTITUTION:A latent image on an image carrier 11 is turned into the toner image by wet type development with using a developing liquid composed of the liquid carriers and toner, the toner image is transferred on the intermediate transfer body 5. After that, most of the liquid carriers are removed from the intermediate transfer body 5, and to form an image composed of only a toner grain on the intermediate transfer body 5 is repeated until the last transfer of the toner image from the image carrier 11 to the intermediate transfer body 5 is performed. Then, the last transfer of the toner image from the image carrier 11 to the intermediate transfer body 5 is performed. After that, the liquid carriers are not removed from the intermediate transfer body 5 but the superimposed toner image is transferred on the transfer sheet 6 in a state where the superimposed toner image is easily separated from the intermediate transfer body 5. thus, even if a liquid carrier supplying means is not used, the superimposed toner image can be excellently transferred to the transfer sheet 6.
