Abstract:
PURPOSE:To prevent the sharp reduction of the discharge capacity due to the repetition of deep charges and discharges by filling an active material in a braided tube. CONSTITUTION:An active material is filled in a braided tube 1. A granular or powdery negative electrode active material, for example, not used in the past can be used. Metal powder such as aluminum powder, silver powder and iron powder as a conducting binder is mixed with the Li powder, the Li alloy powder such as Li-Al and Li-B, and their active material powder to be used for the negative electrode active material. When the granular or powdery active material is used, the surface area of the negative electrode active material can be sharply increased, thus the current density at the time of charging and discharging is reduced, the growth of dendrites on a negative electrode is suppressed, and the charge/discharge cycle life is improved.
