Abstract:
PURPOSE:To automatize the setup adjustment of black level matching of a home video camera and to automatic the color adjustment also by detecting the black level and the degree of color saturation from a luminance signal and color difference signals and controlling them in an image pickup device. CONSTITUTION:This device is consists of an image pickup element 1, an A/D converter 3, a Y/C separating circuit 4, a setup setting circuit 5, a red signal variable gain amplifying circuit 6, a green signal veriable gain amplifying circuit 7, a blue signal variable gain amplifying circuit 8, a Y/C process circuit 9, color difference signal variable gain amplifying circuits 10 and 11, an input signal switching circuit 12, detecting circuit 13, a microcomputer 14, an iris control circuit 16, etc. The black level and the degree of color saturation are detected from the luminance signal and color difference signals and are controlled in the image pickup device. The set up value corresponding to the gain of an AGC is read and stored, and the microcomputer 14 automatically changes the setup value in accordance with the change of the AGC gain, and thus, black deviation due to AGC is prevented.
