Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce a hardware quantity by installing the subscriber line signal device of an ATM exchange on the side of the repeating line of an ATM switch and installing an ADP processing part in common for each subscriber lines so as to omit a cell separating and inserting circuit, a multiplexing and separating circuit, etc., of each subscriber line. SOLUTION: The subscriber line signal device 1 consisting of the ADP processing part 100 executing the adaptation processing of segmentation, reassembling, etc., and LAPD/LSI 101 executing the layer 2 protocol processing of a signal channel is connected to the side of the repeating line of an ATM switch 30 through a bus 15. The subscriber line signal device is connected with a processor 40 to execute the layer 3 protocol processing of the signal channel, the update of a header exchange table, the initial value setting of the switch 30 and the control of LAPD/LSI 101. The number of LAPD/LSI can be reduced when J is >1.
