Abstract:
PURPOSE:To record and reproduce a high-vision base-band signal by a VTR which can record and reproduce the present television signal. CONSTITUTION:The sampling frequency of A/D conversion for the luminance signal Y of the high-vision base-band signal is set to 29.7MHz which is 2/5 time as high as 74.25MHz as the sampling frequency of a luminance signal Y of high-vision studio standards, and the effective number of samples in 1H (one horizontal scanning period) is set to 768. Further, the sampling frequency of A/D conversion for color difference signals PB and PR of the high-vision base-band signal is set to 7.425MHz which is 1/5 time as high as 37.125MHz as the sampling frequency of a color difference signal of the high vision studio standards, and the effective number of samples in 1H is set to 192. Then the color difference signals are put in a line series and then multiplexed with the luminance signal on the time base, and data such as a minus-polarity synchronizing signal is added thereto to generate a recording signal. Then the recording signal becomes a signal similar to an NTSC signal.
