Abstract:
PURPOSE:To reduce the energy consumption of the whole receiver and to lengthen a battery lifetime by causing a power consumed at a control part in the middle of a reception standby action to depend on a prescribed sound power voltage lower than a first power voltage. CONSTITUTION:The title receiver has a CPU 10 as the control part, a power source 20 composed of a battery and a voltage generating circuit 30 to generate a prescribed operation voltage from the output voltage of the power source 20, and further, it has a voltage supply control circuit 40. In a reception standby condition, the operation voltage supplied to the CPU 10 is changed from a first operation voltage VH at the time of a receiving operation into a second operation voltage VL lower than it. Consequently, the energy consumption is reduced in comparison with a conventional one by the degree corresponding to a difference between the operation voltages. Thus, the energy consumption of the whole receiver can be reduced, and the battery lifetime can be lengthened.
