Abstract:
A description is given of a positive-working radiation-sensitive composition containing
a) a compound which forms a strong acid when exposed to actinic radiation,
b) a compound containing at least one acid-cleavable C-O-C or C-O-Si bond, and
c) a water-insoluble polymeric binder which is soluble, or at least swellable, in aqueous alkaline solutions,
which is characterised in that the compound (a) is a 1-sulphonyloxy- 2-pyridone.
