Abstract:
PURPOSE:To prevent separation at the terminal of a carcass winding portion while the weight of a tire is reduced by using polyamide monofilament in a carcass, disposing the terminal of a winding portion near a rim flange and covering the outside of the portion with a hard rubber layer. CONSTITUTION:A carcass 4 uses an unstranded polyamide monofilament 8 having a flat section as a reinforcing cord, and a winding portion 4a is formed in such a manner as to include a bead filler 7. The length (a) of the terminal of the winding portion from the inside diameter of a bead core is set from 10mm to 35mm, whereby separation is hard to occur. A rubber layer 10, the JIS-A hardness at a normal temperature of which is 60-95 is formed in such a manner that the upper terminal t2 is extended from the terminal t1 more than 15mm. Thus, the separation of the terminal of the winding portion can be restrained almost completely. It is all right that the radial length (c) of the bead filler is less than 25mm. A tire can be reduced in weight by the reduction in a diameter of the bead filler in addition to the reduction of weight by using polyamide filament having a flat section.
