Abstract:
PURPOSE:To provide a solid image pick-up and display device capable of displaying a solid image, which is easy to be viewed at the time of admiration and in which fatigue is reduced. CONSTITUTION:The minimum value of the binocular parallax of a subject computed by a parallax computing section 15 is computed by a parallax processing section 16 from the binocular parallax a regenerative position at the time of the solid image regeneration is calculated by a depth display-position computing section 17, and the direction of the optical axis of a camera is controlled by determining the point dx of vergence so that the regenerative position of an image is kept within the range of the binocular fusion of an observer by a fusion-range confirming section 18. The mean value of the whole image plane of the depth place of the subject is computed by a closely-observing point computing section 30 from an output from the parallax computing section 15, and the depth place indicated by an output from the closely-observed point computing section 30 is controlled so as to be regenerated at a distance designated from the surface of an image displaying section 32 or a surface by a parallax control section 31.
