Abstract:
PURPOSE:To minimize the irregularity of the thermal conduction from a partitioning wall to a thermostat and protect a storage battery from heat by integrally installing a rib for holding the thermostat on the partitioning wall of a cell chamber in a terminal box. CONSTITUTION:A battery jar 1 consists of a plurality of cell chambers 2 for accommodating an electrode plate group and a terminal box 3 partitioned from the cell chamber 2 at the edge part by a patitioning wall 9. The box 3 has a window 5 for exposing the terminal at the corner part and a rib 10 for holding the thermostat integrally with the wall 9. The pieces having an L shaped section of the rib 10 are set oppositely, having a slit 11 interposed, and the whole is formed to a box shape. Since the thermostat is inserted, setting one surface in contact with the wall 9 of the cell chamber 2, thermal conduction can be sufficiently carried out free from dispersion, and the thermal sensitivity degree can be improved, and the control operation according to temperature can be carried out surely.
