Abstract:
PURPOSE:To increase processing speed with a document editing device by storing a dividing position as well as the connection information on a converted character string set right before the dividing position in case the connection is impossible between the converted character strings even though the input character strings following said dividing position are changed in various ways. CONSTITUTION:In case a connection deciding means M5 decides that the wrong connection is secured between continuous converted character strings, a connection memory means M6 stores the dividing position between the unconverted character strings having the wrong connection as well as the connection information on the converted character string set right before said dividing position. Then a retrieving means M4 retrieves and extracts another converted character string corresponding to the relevant character string in case the converted character string retrieved by the means 4 corresponds to the character string set right before the dividing position stored in the means M6 and at the same time the connection information stored in the means M6 is available.
