Abstract:
PURPOSE:To improve the exhaust gas performance ranging from the start in cold time to the completion of warming by retarding the fundamental ignition timing according to the temperature of a catalyst and the temperature of an engine. CONSTITUTION:The temperature of exhaust gas lowers when the ignition timing is advanced in comparison with a set value, and on the contrary when the ignition timing is delayed, the temperature rises. The reason comes from the fact that the gas in the cylinder of an engine 7 flows into an exhaust pipe still combusting when the ignition timing is delayed. Accordingly, the temperature rise of a catalyst 20 is accelerated when the combustion gas is introduced into the catalyst 20. Accordingly, the exhaust gas temperature can be raised by delaying-correcting the fundamental ignition timing according to the temperature of a catalyst 20 and the cooling water temperature, and the rise of the temperature of the catalyst 20 can be accelerated. Accordingly, the exhaust gas performance ranging from the start in cold state to warming can be improved.
