Abstract:
[Problem] To provide an oil/water separation method by which an oil/water mixture comprising an oil and water can be separated into the oil and the other substance(s) and in which the operation is easy, the oil/water separation treatment can be finished in a minimum time period, a cost reduction is rendered possible, and the treatment can be conducted in a massive amount at a time. Especially provided is a method by which the oil droplets contained in an emulsion can be efficiently separated. [Solution] The oil/water separation device is for oil separation from an oil/water mixture, and is characterized by comprising (A) an injection part for injecting the oil/water mixture, (B) an oil/water separation part which includes an oil/water separating agent that, in a pressurized state, absorbs and thereby separates a given amount of an oil from the oil/water mixture injected through the injection part, and (C) a recovery part for recovering the oil/water mixture from which the given amount of an oil has been separated in the oil/water separation part.
