Title:
【発明の名称】地震の前兆となる微少電磁界異常の検出装置及びその検出方法と波源までの距離の推定方法
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP3345644
Kind Code:
B2
Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a device and a method for detecting a slight abnormality of electromagnetic fields to be an omen of an earthquake, capable of detecting an abnormality of the electromagnetic field which is to be an omen of an earthquake of a magnitude (Richter scale) of <=6, estimating a point where the abnormality of the electromagnetic field was generated, and forecasting the possibility of the occurrence of an earthquake and a point where the earthquake will occur, and to provide an estimation method of the distance to a wave source. SOLUTION: Electromagnetic waves of <=30 kHz are received and amplified, and then are made to pass through a filter to produce signals of an almost specified frequency component, which are converted into digital data. The mean value of the digital data during a predetermined time longer than individual transient phenomena is found, and the time series of the mean values of the digital is obtained, thereby relatively decreasing continuous wave components which become background noise. The waveform itself or amplitude of the received signal is compared to its calculated value or observed value, thereby estimating a distance to a wave source.
