Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a tire pressure warning device that improves the antenna efficiency of the transmitter. SOLUTION: The present tire pressure warning device is formed integrated with a case 18 by the lower part of the insert of a valve stem 17. Within the case 18 a transmitter is assembled that is composed of a pressure sensor 3, a signal processing circuit 4, and a battery 5. Output of the signal processing circuit 4 is sent to a valve stem 16 through an electric supply line 6. The valve stem 17 is fastened to a wheel rim 1 by a nut 22 through grommets 19, 20, and a washer 21. An coil-shaped antenna 25 composed of a coil 24 that is covered by a nut 23 and insulating material is screwed onto an external screw 16 of the valve stem, and thus fastened it thereto. Thereby the radio wave output of the signal processing circuit 4 is emitted from the coil-shaped antenna 25 through the valve stem 17.
