Abstract:
PURPOSE:To suppress an active material from coming off from an electrode at the time of manufacture so as to prevent an internal short-circuit from being generated by forming a porous protecting film of specific thickness in a surface of any active material applied layer of negative and positive electrodes. CONSTITUTION:A battery has a negative electrode 1 formed with a negative electrode active material layer 32 in a collector 9 and a positive electrode 2 formed with a positive electrode active material layer 33 in a collector 10. A porous protecting film 31 of 0.1 to 200mum thickness is formed in any surface of these positive-negative electrode active material layers 33, 32. In this way, during the time until an electrode is stored in a battery case 5, even when more or less contact is provided in the surface, since an active material is firmly connected to the protecting film 31, an internal short-circuit of the battery, induced by the active material coming off from the electrode to restick to the electrode surface, is prevented. Electrode reaction between the electrode and an electrolytic ion in the electrolyte is prevented from being disturbed.
