Abstract:
The imaging system uses application of a HF simulation pulse in the presence of a stationary homogeneous magnetic field, with read out of the resulting magnetic resonance signals during application of a gradient magnetic field. The latter is varied so that the magnetic resonance signals are detected along at least one spiral (20,21) with the spiral turns lying closer together at the centre of the frequency range than in the remainder of the frequency range. The image is reconstructed from the data represented by the magnetic resonance signals.
