Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a screw of a twin-screw extruder in which a dispersion capacity is increased in a feed screw part of the screw and which disperses and kneads an inorganic filler well. SOLUTION: In a screw of an twin-screw extruder for kneading an inorganic filler in which a kneading disk part 4 in which plate-shaped kneading disks are laid to overlap each other is formed in the intermediate part of the screw constituted from a feed screw, the engagement clearance between it and the counter screw is made 1.0-3.0 mm, the mixing part 6 of a reverse feed screw having projections projected from the bottom surfaces of screw troughs are formed in the intermediate part of the upstream feed screw of the kneading disk part 4, and a high shear disk part 7 in which wider plate shaped kneading disks are laid to overlap each other is formed immediately upstream from the kneading disk part 4. Accordingly, since after a dispersion capacity being increased in the feed screw part of the screw and an inorganic filler being dispersed well, melting is done, the dispersion and kneading of the filler are carried out well, and initial defects are eliminated.
