Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To promote the warming up of a catalyst while retaining the stability of an engine even when an engine load is changed under a condition that the amplitude of an air-fuel ratio is fixed. SOLUTION: Setting means 21 and 22 set air-fuel ratio control rates of a rich air cylinder and a lean air cylinder without depending on an engine load, and control means 23 controls the air-fuel ratios of the air cylinders by using these air-fuel ratio control rates. Setting means 24 sets the ignition timing of the lean air cylinder, and setting means 25 sets the ignition timing of the rich air cylinder according to the air-fuel ratio control rate of the lean air cylinder so that a torque generated by the rich air cylinder against the reference load of an engine is set to the same as the lean air cylinder. When the engine load is different from the reference load, correcting means 26 corrects the ignition timing of the rich air cylinder in a direction where torque difference generated between the rich air cylinder and the lean air cylinder is eliminated according to the engine load, and ignition executing means 27 executes ignition of each air cylinder by using the ignition timing of the rich air cylinder and the ignition timing of the lean air cylinder, respectively corrected.
