Abstract:
PURPOSE:To obtain a stirring device capable of uniformly and easily stirring a slurry and a liquid by reduced enery consumption by providing the device with a stirring means having blade plates forming discharge streams to the upper layer part of the liquid in a stirring tank wherein a slurry is present in a mixed state in a horizontal direction. CONSTITUTION:A stirring tank 1 is composed of a bottomed cylindrical container 1a and a liquid 2 and a slurry 3 are present in the container 1a in a mixed state and the slurry 3 high in specific gravity is settled to the lower part of the container 1a. A stirring means 4 consists of blade plates 4b radially fixed to the lower end of a rotary shaft 4a and is rotated by a motor. When the rotary shaft 4a is rotated in the direction shown by an arrow A, the upper liquid 2 in the container 1a is pushed out outwardly and also pushed out in an obliquely downward direction to be struck against the surface of the settled slurry to rise in a whirled state. When the specific gravity of the slurry 3 is high, the buffles 5 formed to the bottom part of the container 1a are displaced in the same direction as the rotary direction of the blade plates 4b and have a gap 5a and, therefore, the mixture of the slurry 3 and the liquid 2 coming into contact with the buffles 5 rises as a whirled stream.
